Can you lose fat and build muscle at the same time?

Yes, you can and that's what we always recommend, or at least try not to lose muscle when dieting. With conventional dieting (as prescribed by diet centers, media or book advice, etc.), the body loses both fat and muscle (1/4 of weight lost is generally muscle so if you lose 20LBS, 5LBS would be muscle) when losing weight. This of course this is not good for most people and can set you up for easy weight regain, which is why most people do regain lost weight. In order to accomplish building muscle while losing fat we design the program to feed muscle with appropriate types & amounts of food and add dietary support in the way of nutritional supplements, which supply important nutrition without the calories. This way you are starving the fat by using the necessary amount of calories that allows weight loss, but you continue to feed the muscle by supplying nutrients without adding back any calories and thus keeping the muscles supplied with more than enough nutrition to continue to grow as long as you incorporate some form of exercise.

What we are saying is that conventional dieting cannot supply enough nutrition to sustain muscle growth while allowing continuous fat loss, thus often creating what we call a “skinny-fat” person. Using the dotFIT program, you can set your goal as stated above. The program, including meal plans and your supplement recommendation, will be created to feed your muscle while starving the fat. It’s a science that we created in the bodybuilding world many years ago and anyone can do it with proper direction. Below is a typical supplement program for accomplishing your goal:

(A) Active multivitamin mineral formula

• Take 1 daily with breakfast or any other larger meal

Use SuperCalcium+ and SuperOmega-3 as necessary – i.e. not getting enough from food

(B) dotFIT First String or Pre/Post Meal Replacement & Workout Formula

• Take 2 scoops 10-30 minutes before workout or use favorite dotFIT® bar for convenience

• Take 2 scoops immediately post workout

• Use anytime throughout the day to add calories as necessary to maintain muscle gain
